Description
Queen Elizabeth II's death in 2022 prompted a 12 month deadline to switch to King Charles III's effigy on Australian coins. Consequentially no circulating coins were produced in 2023. The only coins produced were those for Mint sets, making any 2023 coin with the Queen's image a rare and very collectable coin, and coins with the Memorial Effigy even rarer. The Mob of Roos coins from this Mint set are the only Mob of Roos coins that were minted in 2023, making them extremely collectable.
