2021 Stamp and Coin Cover PNC - Year of the Ox
The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present this stamp and coin cover to celebrate the lunar Year of the Ox.
Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar ox in 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973 and every 12th preceding year are said to be kind, intelligent, honest and reliable. Admired for their strong work ethic, logical mindset and calm demeanour, they are recognised as great leaders.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse portrays a stylised representation of an ox with its calf. In the background a village is depicted among mountains. Also included in the design is a cherry blossom tree, the Chinese character for ‘ox’ and the inscription ‘OX 2021’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The obverse of the coin depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2021 year-date and the monetary denomination.
OFFICIAL AUSTRALIA POST STAMP
Affixed to the envelope are official Australia Post $1.10 and $3.30 stamps. The stamps are postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
