2021 Stamp and Coin Cover PNC - Superb Fruit-Dove
The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present this Superb Fruit-dove stamp and coin cover.
Despite its brilliant plumage colouration, the arboreal Superb Fruit-dove remains well hidden amidst foliage, so is more often heard than seen in the rainforests of eastern Queensland and north-eastern New South Wales.
Issued as Tuvalu legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
DESIGN
The coin's reverse design depicts two coloured Superb Fruit-doves perched on a tree. The design also includes the inscription ‘SUPERB FRUIT-DOVE’.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2021 year-date and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
OFFICIAL AUSTRALIA POST STAMP
Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $1.10 stamp. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
