2021 Stamp and Coin Cover PNC - Anzac Day
Description
2021 Stamp and Coin Cover PNC - Anzac Day
The Perth Mint and Australia Post are pleased to present this 2021 Anzac Day stamp and coin cover.
Anzac Day falls on the 25 April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915. Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
DESIGN
The reverse of the coin portrays an aviation themed design comprising aircraft silhouettes surrounding a stylised motif representing a flaming torch and flying wings. Also included in the design is the inscription ’25 APRIL LEST WE FORGET’ and the Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2021 year-date are shown on the coin’s obverse.
OFFICIAL AUSTRALIA POST STAMP
Affixed to the envelope are official Australia Post $1.10 and $3.30 stamps. The stamps are postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
