The Perth Mint’s Australian Bullion Coin Program has been characterised by outstanding craftsmanship, iconic artistry and assured purity for more than 30 years. Continuing this tradition, The Perth Mint is delighted to unveil the Australian Kangaroo 1oz Silver Bullion Coin for 2020.
Struck from 99.99% pure silver, the 2020 Silver Kangaroo’s reverse portrays the classic artistry of a ‘red’ kangaroo encircled by symbolic rays of sunshine.
This bullion coin has an unlimited mintage. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
AUTHENTICATION FEATURE
This coin includes an authentication feature on the reverse in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter which is only detectable under a magnifying glass. The authentication feature is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.

Each bullion coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
