The merlion is the official mascot of Singapore, and is depicted as a lion's head with the body of a fish. The body of the Merlion symbolizes Singapore's history as a fishing village, and the lion head presents Singapore's original name meaning "lion city" in Malay.
Struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, each coin comes individually packaged in a protective plastic capsule as issued.
