2015 14-coin 20c Anzac Collection Folder
To commemorate the Anzac Centenary, the Royal Australian Mint has partnered with News Corp Australia to develop, design and produce a limited edition fourteen-part coin collection recognising key themes from the First World War. The ANZAC Official Coin Collection is based on a selection of photos that were chosen in conjunction with the Australian War Memorial.
Each piece in the collection has a denomination of 20c and are all of Australian legal tender.
HISTORY AND SIGNIFICANCE
Based on photos chosen from the Australian War Memorial archive, the ANZAC Official Coin Collection will include fourteen coins that have been designed and produced by the Royal Australian Mint to mark significant events that occurred in the First World War.
The First World War themes featured in this collection include the war years, mateship, Light Horsemen, the home front, the Royal Australian Navy, Remembrance Day, Nurses, wartime animals, The Last Post, War Correspondents, Australian Flying Corps, Australian Imperial Force, the Unknown Soldier and the Gallipoli Landing.
Each coin in the fourteen-part ANZAC Official Coin Collection will be made available to the general public when purchasing News Corp newspapers from participating retail outlets, from 11-26 April 2015.
