Celebrating the birth of the future Monarch, The Perth Mint and Australia Post are honoured to commemorate the occasion with the release of a stunning stamp and coin cover, which is set to be a timeless reminder of his historic arrival.
This $1 coin is struck by The Perth Mint from high quality aluminium bronze.
The coin’s reverse depicts a sculpted portrait of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cradling and gazing lovingly at their newborn baby. The image is encircled by a ribbon tied in a bow. The inscription IN CELEBRATION OF THE BIRTH OF HRH PRINCE GEORGE, the birth date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.

The stunning Australia Post 60c stamp design features Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cradling Prince George and is postmarked for the first day of issue.
This aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card featuring the proud parents, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, leaving St Mary’s Hospital in London, cradling HRH Prince George.
The card fits inside a similarly illustrated envelope with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs. The envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official release number.
