2011 $1 Uncirculated Coin - 100 Years of Australian Census
Description
Australia has come a long way since the first nationally coordinated Census in 1911. At that time Australia was a young growing nation with a blossoming identity influenced by different cultures and preferences. The first Census data played an important role in helping to shape Australia by providing decision makers with accurate information to help plan for the future.
We have produced an uncirculated $1 coin in recognition of this national milestone which makes a perfect accompaniment to other popular recent government departmental commemorative coins; 2010 Centenary of Taxation, 2009 Centenary of the Age Pension, 2008 Centenary of Australian Quarantine.
