2008 HRH The Prince of Wales 60th Birthday 1oz Silver Proof Coin
PLEASE NOTE: The outer box shows some wear (corners). The obverse of the coin have a 2 small milky white spots.
The coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The Mint has employed its spectacular coloured minting techniques to bring warmth and realism to the reverse portrait of the Prince. The design includes a coloured representation of the Prince of Wales Coat of Arms, as well as the inscriptions 60th BIRTHDAY, HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES and 1948-2008.
The coin’s reverse also features The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, which first appeared in 1899.
A stunning commemorative, the Australian legal tender release portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 12,500 of these coins.
Each coin is housed in a blue presentation case and stylish shipper illustrated with a portrait of HRH Prince Charles.
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity which includes a spectacular rendition of the Prince’s Coat of Arms.
