Celebrating 40 years of decimal currency the Royal Australian Mint has released a eight coin proof.
For the first time since 1966 the 50c coin appears in its original round form, minted with a silver metal content of 80%.The round silver 50c coin is ONLY available in the PROOF set. The 1c and 2c also make a feature in these sets another first since 1991. The designs on the 2006 coins are the original 1966 designs representing the Australian Fauna.
