This exclusive 2022 Brisbane Money Expo ANDA Special from The Perth Mint celebrates the Australian Kookaburra. The coin also features a Koala privy mark, Queensland’s animal emblem, to signify the show taking place between the 30 of April and 1 of May 2022.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Brisbane Money Expo ANDA Special Australian Kookaburra 2022 1oz Silver Coin with Koala Privy Mark.
The Australasian Numismatic Dealer’s Association Incorporation (ANDA) is the professional body representing individuals and businesses that deal in coins and banknotes throughout Australasia.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse portrays an image of a kookaburra perched on an ornamental bird bath among Agapanthus, flowering plants regularly seen in Australian gardens. The design includes a coloured privy mark representation of a Koala. The reverse also incorporates the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year-date.
The obverse bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the coin’s monetary denomination.
PRESENTATION
The coin is presented in a coloured presentation card which incorporates a fold-out stand for upright display.
