Royal Australian Mint Elizabeth Regina - HM Queen Elizabeth II Commemoration 2023 50c Proof Coin

The Royal Australian Mint is honoured to commemorate Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a beautiful 50 cent coin design.  These coins celebrate the Queen's seven decades of devotion and service, as well as the indelible mark she has left on Australian numismatics.

In 1947 a young Princess Elizabeth made a speech that was broadcast around the world in celebration of her Twenty-First Birthday.  In it, the young royal dedicated her life to the service of the Commonwealth:

" I declare that before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong."

These words would provide to be truly prophetic when, five years later she would ascend the throne as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, starting a historic reign of over seventy years - the longest of any British Monarch.

 This coin's reverse features a central design depicting the six effigies of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, that appeared on Australian coins, fanned above the Queen's Royal Cypher.
