The egg with a bouquet of wildflowers dates back to 1901 and was a gift from Tsar Nicholas II to Alexandra Feodorovna's wife. From 1895, the Faberge enterprise, commissioned by the tsar, produced two tsarist Easter gifts in the shape of an egg each year. One egg was a gift to the mother, Tsarina Maria Fedorovna, the other - to his wife.
