50c Fine Silver coin - 18.24g - 0.586 oz ASWThis 2003 50c Silver Proof Coin commemorates the 50th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, an event that marked the beginning of one of the longest and most significant reigns in modern history. Issued by the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra, the coin honours Her late Majesty’s lifelong service, global influence and enduring connection with Australia.
This release is particularly noteworthy for its very limited mintage of only 6,967 coins, making it one of the lower-mintage silver proof commemoratives from the Mint during the early 2000s. Each example was originally issued in a felt-lined presentation case adorned with a silver crown emblem.
