This adorable coin is the first in our 2021 Dreaming Down Under series and features Australia’s most well-known marsupial, the Kangaroo. Illustrated by Australian artist Elise Martinson, this series is inspired by dreamy newborn basket photography, a trend adored by parents all the world over.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Dreaming Down Under – Kangaroo 2021 1/2oz Silver Coloured Coin.

DESIGN
The coin’s reverse depicts a cute baby kangaroo asleep in a fleece-lined nest surrounded by colourful Australian native flowers and wildlife. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appears on the reverse with the coin’s weight and purity.

The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the coin’s monetary denomination and year-date appear on the obverse.

PRESENTATION
The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged with an illustrated shipper, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
