2020 Six Coin Base Metal Proof Baby Year Set - Possum Magic

In 1983 the whimsical children’s book Possum Magic was released, delighting young readers with its tale of Hush and Grandma Poss, two possums who travel Australia in search of a magical delicacy. The Royal Australian Mint’s 2020 baby year set will feature this beloved book for the third and final year.
For 25 years the Royal Australian Mint has released an annual baby set of coins. In 2020 the set features once again the beloved Australian children’s picture book Possum Magic. Written by Mem Fox and illustrated by Julie Vivas, Possum Magic tells the story of two possums, Grandma Poss and Hush, who travel around Australia in search of a special magical food.
This beautiful set of proof coins features a special colour printed 50 cent coin celebrating one of Possum Magic’s beautiful and whimsical illustrations. It is also the first baby set to bear the new effigy of the Queen by Jody Clark. An extra special gift to welcome a new little possum into the family.
