The Royal Australian Mint has released this coloured $2 coin into circulation, marking a century of remembrance in Australia. Developed with the assistance of the Australian War Memorial, this moving coin commemorates the centenary of the First World War Armistice, signed on 11 November 1918. A stunning keepsake for military and history enthusiasts, as well as all who honour the fallen.
FEATURES AND DESIGN
• Coin’s obverse features a coloured depiction of a poppy and a graphic representation of 11.11.11 symbolising the ‘eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month.’
• Released to coincide with Remembrance Day 2018
• Coin’s obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley
