2013 20c Uncirculated Coin - The Ashes
Continuing the Royal Australia Mint’s tradition of commemorating important Australian sporting events, the 2013-14 Commonwealth Bank Ashes Series is commemorated with the 20c uncirculated coin. The Ashes Series represents one of the world’s greatest and longest-standing cricket rivalries – that between Australian and England. Schedule alternately in the northern and southern hemisphere, the Ashes tradition was born in 1882 when Australia defeated England on home soil for the first time.
The coin is presented in a blister and housed in a printed presentation card.
