2007 $1 Selectively Gold Plated Silver  Subscription Coin - 1732 One Johanna

Following the popular release in 2006 of a subscription coin featuring the famous Pillar Dollar, the Royal Australian Mint has chosen another of the early Australian Proclamation Series as the subscription release for 2007. The Johanna reproduction allows collectors to own a copy of numismatic rarity which might otherwise prove unobtainable.

The coin has been struck in 99.9% pure silver, then gold-plated to replicate the appearance of the original gold coin.

Struck to the highest Proof quality from 60.3 grams of .999 silver the coin recreates the famous 1722-32 Gold Johanna finished in gold. Official legal tender of Australia the mintage will be restricted. Measuring 50mm in diameter each coin will be presented in a plush, official RAM case.
