Inside The Vault Book -The History and Art of Australian Coinage
For the first time, the Royal Australian Mint has pleasure in presenting, Inside the Vault, a beautifully illustrated coffee table book that uncovers the fascinating history and art of the nation’s currency. In collaboration with bestselling author Peter Rees and NewSouth Publishing, Inside the Vault traces significant events – the Rum Rebellion, the gold rushes, the opening of the Royal Australian Mint, and the 1966 introduction of decimal currency – and their effect on Australia’s coinage.

Lavishly illustrated, Inside the Vault reveals neverbefore-seen design sketches and photographs of rare Australian coins, along with stunning archival images of important events and people in the history of Australian coinage.
