2006 Cook Islands Fire Engines of the World 1oz Silver Dollar Coin Russian AA-60 Airfield

The second release from the Mint's Fire Engines of the World Series, this coin depicts a Soviet AA-60 Airfield Fire Engine.
The AA-60 engine was in service between 1973 and 1982 to fight fires on aircrafts.The engine was capable of holding between 11,000 and 12,000 litres of water and a 900 litres of foam. The AA-60 has a very limited mintage of only 5,000 coins, it comes with a numbered certificate.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of the Cook Islands, the coin depicts Raphael Maklouf’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
