The third release from the Mint's Fire Engines of the World Series, this coin depicts a 1923 Garford Type 15 Pumper.
The new Fire Engines of the world coin depicts a coloured image of a 1923 Garford Type 15 Pumper. The New South Wales Fire Brigades constructed 49 of these light pumpers on Garford Type 15 truck chassis for use in Australian country towns. They entered service between 1922 and 1925, and the last unit was withdrawn in 1968. The fire engine is portrayed inside a stylised fire hose and the words FIRE ENGINES OF THE WORLD.The coin's obverse depicts Raphael Maklouf's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Each coin is housed in an eye-catching red presentation case accompanied by a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Each case comes within a shipper depicting stylised images of fire Fighters and is limited to only 5,000 coins.
Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of the Cook Islands, the coin depicts Raphael Maklouf’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
