2002 $5 Silver Proof Coin - XVII Commonwealth Games
This coin is a Crown sized pure silver proof coin designed as an affordable memento of the XVII Commonwealth Games being held in Manchester, England between 25 July and 4 August 2002. The reverse depicts five athletes with arms raised triumphantly to form the shape of a crown.
This coin has been manufacture by the Royal Australian Mint to its usual high standards from a carefully prepared pure silver blank.
This striking proof coin is housed in a silver powder coated metal case which slips into a tastefuly coloured and embrossed outer box with a numbered Certificate of Authenicity.
The mintage on this special release is a low 15,000.
