1985 Royal Australian Mint Seven Coin Mint Set
This outstanding collection of the seven Australian coins in common use, features for the first time a new effigy of Her Majesty, The Queen, brilliantly portrayed by Mr Raphael Maklouf in 1984.
Also included for the first time in a collection is the distinctive new Australian one dollar coin which has replaced the one dollar note and is the first major addition to Australia's circulating decimal coinage since 1966.
The reverse sides of the coins in this set features uniquely Australian animals, birds and reptiles which reflect the Australian heritage of a vast, sometimes harsh but always distinctly different southern continent.
